The bathroom tap water tasted like it came straight from a swamp, disgusting. The air conditioning was more like a glorified ceiling fan. I would have expected a room upgrade for enduring this mess, but alas, even entitled guests like myself have to settle for mediocrity. A would-be good review turned to disappointment.

Thoroughly enjoyed the place, had an awesome stay in February. The restaurant was great at an affordable price, I tried hot dishes. The pool was great and I had complimentary drinks in the downstairs bar. In addition, parking was nearby. Fantastic and incredible location, it was nearby a bus stop. You could walk to a market and a convenience shop.

The staff were nice and pro at the hotel made dining an enjoyable experience, particularly at Sen5es, where the food was beautifully presented.
We faced a frustrating check-in process due to unprepared room keys, which disrupted our arrival after a long journey.

Location
The air-con could not be set to a temperature above 21 degrees. This was annoying considering when we checked in the air-con was set to maximum cool so the room was freezing.

Great room, but air conditioning didn't work at all.

The location and the effort by the staff.
I received the wrong meal from room servcie on my first evening. The room was clearly not vacuumed on a number of days and the pillows were very poor and contributed to a poor experience. The meals were overpriced (in particular breakfast) for the quality. Overall I was disappointed with the level of service given the reputation of this hotel.

1.5% surcharge for paying by Credit Card........ I cannot believe they can charge that, I have never stayed in a hotel that has charged that fee, I think they need to change their Eftpos bank.

The rooms are nice and clean and I had a comfortable stay. There is free use of internet at the hotel lobby. My husband especially liked it that there is a pub with live music just next to the hotel.

Elegant foyer greets you on arrival. For two nights we had rooms on the 'advantages' floor. Excellent decor and huge king size bed. Had an excellent dinner in the Sen5es restaurant. Didn't have breakfast.
